Sony announces its new 2014 BRAVIA 4K and 2K TV
Earlier this morning, we were at Sony’s 2014 BRAVIA series launch, which Sony has introduced a few of its latest 4K and 2K TV models that focuses even more on better picture and sound quality.
The 2014 BRAVIA series mainly focuses on four strategies – picture quality, sound quality, form factor and user experience. Sony has also mentioned when it comes to 4K, only the company knows how to make it the best experience for its consumers as they know everything about 4K from video creation to content playback.

Announced at the even today is the all new X9500B series, which employes the new X-tended Dynamic Range PRO  panel that is set to provide customers with a gorgeous viewing experience. The X9500B series will come with a new two-way Long Duct Speaker which features a 1.5 metre long duck in an approximately 0.75 litre capacity speaker box, capable of delivering a stronger, richer bass with low distortion. A subwoofer is also built in to the back of the TV (2 subwoofers for 85-inch, 1 subwoofer for the 65-inch) to further support low frequencies and produce a powerful sound to match the TV’s big screen images
Also announced at the event is the new X9000B series which promises to deliver users an experience, with a new design and magnetic fluid speakers. The X9000 introduces a “Wedge” form factor which was designed to increase stability in an era when screen size continues to increase, it also delivers extremely clear sound via its highly acclaimed, front-facing Magnetic Fluid Speakers along with beautiful, detailed 4K images. Furthermore, it includes a port replicator to help manage messy cables, so you will only see one cable connected to the TV, which is good for customers who hang their TV on the wall.






The X8500B series will be the entry-level 4K TV line up, which gives customers to choose on what they really want on their 4K BRAVIA TV. All new 4K LED TVs will support HDMI 2.0 and MHL 3.0.
Sony has not forgotten the 2K (Full HD) market as well and introduced a new range of internet-enabled smart TVs that features interesting software features.
One of the most interesting one is Live Tweet View, as you are watching TV you can hook up to your Twitter account and get live tweets below your TV screen, just like news programmes. Sony also introduces a Live Football Mode that transports them into the heart of the stadium, Live Football Launcher also gives viewers the feasibility of watching previously-recorded footage from YouTube and the official FIFA video channel.

More at the event, we were also introduced to two new home theathre systems, a wireless sound bar HT-CT770 and
BDV-N9200W Blu-ray home theatre system which features great sound quality and also has NFC and Bluetooth connectivity.
And lastly, we are also being introduced to Sony’s new remote control, which features One-Flick entertainment by flicking up on the touch panel to show features and apps on Sony’s Smart TV interface.

Availability on Sony’s 2014 BRAVIA models are not mentioned in the event but Sony is trying to make it available for purchase very soon. However, don’t expect the 4K TVs to be cheap. Check out our gallery below for images in the event.
